People with dementia and those surrounding them (e.g. husbands, wives, children, grandchildren, carers, colleagues etc).

INSIGHT

Those dealing with Alzheimers often feel alone – they don’t know what to expect and who to turn to for help.

We spoke to the husbands, wives, children and grandchildren of people who had dementia. It soon became apparent that it wasn’t all doom and gloom. There were some very warm and engaging stories scattered amongst the challenges.

They say the longest journey starts with a single step. The first step for many people affected by dementia is to go online and search.

STRATEGY

We wanted those people to find us, to find they’re not alone – to find support, comfort and community.

We worked with Alzheimers NZ to create an environment of support and empathy. We told real stories, the good and the bad, with the objective of showing people affected by dementia that they were not alone.
