Our client Suzuki New Zealand recently launched the new generation V-STROM 1050 and 1050XT, the latest additions to the great range of adventure bikes that Suzuki have on offer. The V-STROM legend has been modified, enhanced and rides better than ever before, earning its title “The Master of Adventure”.
Targeted at experienced adventurous riders looking to escape their busy lives and longing for a tour of New Zealand’s exhilarating roads, it was important to launch this bold and sleek bike by showcasing it in its most natural environment.
With this in mind, we planned, organised and directed a local photography and videography shoot. Our defined shot list included local content that would appeal to our target audience including adventure enthusiasts as well as current V-STROM owners looking to upgrade. Locations were strategically scouted based on the “Master of Adventure” creative concept. Our chosen locations allowed us to convey the strong and precise feeling of the ride with different environments showcasing the V-STROM venturing through tough terrain and off-road locations.
With a targeted media schedule in place, a suite of advertising materials were developed including print, digital and social content appropriate to our audiences.
We also produced a range of content for Suzuki New Zealand’s website including a ‘teaser phase’ where those in our target audience wanting to know more could express their interest in advance of the official launch in New Zealand. This helped our campaign by building up the excitement around the model’s release. It also gave us valuable insights and an indication as to the level of interest for this model in New Zealand.
